Tell us about your own journey and how your experiences have changed the way you look at motherhood and parenting.
My nursing experience has granted me the privilege to work with mothers and families from all backgrounds and walks of life. This has allowed me to be flexible and creative in how I care for each individual.
Tell us a little about your nursing career.
I have 10 years experience in private practice OB/GYN as a medical assistant and 4 years experience working in level I trauma center operating room as a circulating and charge nurse.
What are the two most important lessons you've learned working with moms, babies, and families?
Creativity in individualized care and being a solid listening ear.
If you had one bit of advice to give to a new parent, what would it be?
Take a deep breath and affirm yourself that you are doing a great job. It takes trial, error, and lots of practice to get the hang of this mom thing.
Self-care is a big challenge for parents. How do you maintain your own energy and outlook?
Staying organized and creating a routine for yourself allows for time for self-care and rest which is extremely essential as it maintains our mental and physical capacity to care for our children and families.
Is there anything we've missed that you'd like to share with Mama Coach clients?
I am really excited to have the privilege of serving and working one on one with moms in my community.
