Tell us about your own journey and how your experiences have changed the way you look at motherhood and parenting.
As a first time mom with triplets , my nursing career has helped me to multitask and to accept changes and challenges quickly. By this, I can support mothers by coaching them to accept the changes and work with it effectively.
Tell us a little about your nursing career.
I have been a nurse for 6 years mostly working as a dialysis and home health nurse.
What are the two most important lessons you've learned working with moms, babies, and families?
It is important to learn the value of empathy especially to new parents and the importance of routine as early as newborn.
If you had one bit of advice to give to a new parent, what would it be?
Don't be too hard on yourself. As long as you know in your heart that you give all the best that you can in raising your child. That's what matters.
Self-care is a big challenge for parents. How do you maintain your own energy and outlook?
I accept help when it is offered and use that time to have a break. I always try to be positive and treasure the time I have with my babies for they won't be babies forever.
Is there anything we've missed that you'd like to share with Mama Coach clients?
I would like to advocate for mothers/clients with multiples and post-partum/mental health.
